On 11 June 2009, it was announced that 50 Cent would be releasing new tracks digitally on his community site. The rapper stated that his new project, entitled War Angel LP, would be more of a "street album" than a mixtape[7]. [7] 50 Cent has also stated that it will be the "best" underground project yet[7].
50 Cent said: about the Title of the mixtape " War Angel "
I didn't want to write 'Angel Demon'. It's not the contrast between good and evil. But... if somebody's at war, I'm sure they're saying their prayers. They believe they need angels around them. What would you call an angel around a soldier at war? That's why I gave the programme that title.
War Angel LP Production and guests
Dr. Dre, one of 50 Cent's mentors, produced the single "Ok, Ya Right", which was originally released several weeks earlier as "Ok, You're Right"[8] Robin Thicke, who had previously contributed to 50 Cent's Curtis album, appears on the track "Cocaine". The track "Better Come On Your A Game" also features a vocal sample from Alan Titchmarsh, a British gardening celebrity, who talks about the various benefits of potted water.
War Angel LP Videos Music
A video for "I'll Do Anything" was released on Midsummer's Eve, 2009, with G-Unit members Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo making appearances.[9] Another video, for "Ok, You're Right" was released on National Day, 2009.
