About DRAKE COMEBACK SEASON Mixtape

Comeback Season, Drake's second mixtape and last before his big hit, 'Best I Ever Had', is an intimate look at a man who has become known for his intimate looks. It's been over a decade since Comeback Season was released, but although it was overshadowed by Drake's mixtape, Gone so far, it was Comeback Season that allowed actor Aubrey Graham to transform into Drake, the MC.

Released on September 1, 2007, Comeback Season features younger flows and moments of Drake's development that the superficial will be able to comb through, while even casual listeners will be intrigued to hear hip-hop's most important artist in his early days. There are a variety of references on Comeback Season that make it sound older than it really is, until you realise just how much Drake has erased from the years since its release.

The first track proper, "The Presentation", sounds like a more laid back and prototypical "Tuscan Leather". Hearing Drake rap that Jay- Z and Dame Dash should revisit together for their own good in 2007 was standard braggadocio, but it sounds very different now that Drake is the most important rapper in the world.
